This large crystal specimen came from Scotland. This one was found by Katriona back in 2021 on the side of a rock pile. It is from down in Dumfries and Galloway. It was too big and too heavy to bring home - so of course she brought it home.
This piece was on the stand for ages back when we used to do market stalls. It was so heavy that people would pick it up, admire it and put it back down again. It is a beautiful piece in a strange shape with crystals all around the bottom, top, and sides. There are a few wee gaps where you can see underneath the bladed calcite crystals and it appears to have formed on some sort of heavy rock. I would assume baryte by the weight but the bladed calcite could be the barite. I am unsure. It looks like a limestone or maybe a man made shape. It features a large rectangular bottom with a round ball of calcite on top. The ball is almost a geode in shape.
This crystal is ready to find its home with someone who thinks that big is beautiful. In years of serching it is the only one of its kind. This is your chance to buy a unique crystal that is truly rare.
