We found this carboniferous fossil in South Ayrshire, Scotland. The Scottish mineral was picked up in July 2022. The Scottish fossil was found on the fourth of July during a birthday outing fossil hunting.
This fossil is estimated to be between 330 million and 350 million years old. During this period Scotland had a subtropical climate. Fossilised seabed, shells, corals, and even sea creature fossils have been found throughout the country.
The fossil from Scotland came from an old disused quarry near Beith in Ayrshire.
